What Is a Psychologist?
Psychologists are doctoral-level professionals (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) who specialize in understanding human behavior, psychological testing, and evidence-based psychotherapy. They conduct comprehensive evaluations, personality assessments, and neuropsychological testing to help clarify diagnoses and guide treatment. Psychologists typically complete 5–7 years of doctoral training plus supervised clinical experience.
